Stone and Lime Materials

Natural materials have always been at the heart of traditional masonry. Alongside our restoration and masonry work, we offer a selection of natural stone sourced in cooperation with trusted local partners, together with traditional lime materials prepared by Manerium. These materials are available for building, restoration and landscape projects in Latvia and across Europe.

Natural stone is not a standardised product. Its dimensions, surface, colour and character vary depending on the stone and the way it is processed. The selection presented here represents the types of materials we can offer, with availability, specifications and suitable options discussed individually for each project.

Split Granite Slabs

Split granite slabs made from natural fieldstones, retaining the varied colours, textures and character of the original stone.

They can be used for both stone cladding and traditional masonry. Thinner slabs are well suited to facing and finishing work, while thicker pieces can be used for building stone walls and other masonry structures.

The slabs are available in different sizes, thicknesses and natural colours. Irregular shapes are suitable for more traditional and natural-looking stonework, while regularly shaped pieces can be produced for corners, pillars and other masonry where more consistent dimensions are required.

Slabs can also be prepared to approximately the required size and thickness for a particular project.

Granite Cladding Slabs with a Natural Split Face

Made from natural granite fieldstones, these cladding slabs are precisely sawn to regular dimensions and then split to create a naturally textured face. The combination of regular edges and the varied colour and character of natural granite makes them well suited for façades, walls, pillars and other architectural details where a more consistent finish is required.

Irregular Sawn Fieldstone Tiles

Individually sawn from natural fieldstones, these stone tiles retain the irregular shape, colour and character of each original stone. Sawn to approximately 2 to 3 cm thickness, they provide a practical way to create a genuine natural stone surface without the depth and weight of traditional masonry. Suitable for floors, wall cladding, façades and other decorative stonework where the natural variation of fieldstone is part of the desired appearance.

Traditional Lime Putty

We produce our own lime putty from quicklime, using a traditional slaking process to create a natural and breathable material for conservation and traditional masonry work.

The lime putty is prepared for use in our own restoration and masonry projects, where compatibility with historic materials and control over the composition of the mortar are particularly important.

We use this lime putty in our own work and can bring the same material to your project.
